The eyes and ears of their Commanders, Pathfinders play a vital role in the success of every mission. After your first Trial by Fire you may choose to Pilot a XV25, become the Cadre Fireblade or crew command a; Devilfish, TX4 Piranha, TX-42 Piranha Light Skimmer, or a Tetra Scout Speeder once you unlock them.

Only members that choose to operate as a Pathfinder will gain access to stealth technology. If your character starts as a Breacher, he can still Pilot Stealthsuits but once time is spent as a dismounted Pathfinder on the frontline. Kroot and Gue'vesa must pay 3 Points per model that are not equipped with a special weapon, to give them a Markerlight each.

Markerlight: If a model fires a markerlight, it cannot fire any other weapons in that phase. When a model is hit by a markerlight, place a counter next to it for the remainder of the phase. The table below describes the benefits models from your kill team receive when shooting at a model that has markerlight counters. All benefits are cumulative.

* 1 - You can re-roll hit rolls of 1 for attacks that target this model.

* 2 - Ignore enemy cover save bonus.

* 3 - Models attacking this model do not suffer the penalty for moving and firing Heavy weapons or Advancing and firing Assault weapons.

* 4+ - Add 1 to hit rolls for attacks that target this model.
